Generate your own nitrogen on-site with the CNG Modular Nitrogen Generator Series. Compressor Systems supplies PSA nitrogen generators delivering 95% to 99.999% purity for Australian industrial applications.
A nitrogen generator is a machine that produces high-purity nitrogen gas from the air around us. Instead of relying on heavy, expensive nitrogen cylinders, a generator makes nitrogen on-site, on demand.
The CNG Modular Nitrogen Generator Series uses Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology to produce nitrogen gas on-site from compressed air.
Nitrogen flow: 0.5–1000 Nm³/h
Nitrogen purity: 95–99.999%
Nitrogen pressure: 0.1–0.8 MPa (Adjustable)
Atmospheric dew point: -40°C to -70°C
The CNG series uses Pressure Swing Adsorption technology to separate nitrogen from compressed air.
The two towers alternate between these phases automatically, providing continuous nitrogen production.
The CNG Modular Nitrogen Generator includes comprehensive components as standard:
Achieves energy savings with a low air-to-nitrogen ratio of 4.2:1 for 99.99% purity, compared to 5:1 for traditional twin-tower generators, saving up to 15% on energy consumption.
PLC programmable control system with high-resolution interface monitors air pressure, nitrogen purity, and flow. Automatic functions include removing unqualified nitrogen and energy-saving pauses.
Features a control method combining solenoid and pneumatic valves for stable and reliable performance.
Built from high-strength, non-corrosive aluminium alloy, preventing corrosion and extending equipment life. Some models include built-in nitrogen process tank, optimising installation space.
Provides constant nitrogen supply 24/7. Modular design allows easy expansion—simply add modules to increase capacity without replacing existing equipment.

Nitrogen is widely used across various industries:
The CNG Modular Nitrogen Generator requires compressed air supply:
Air Inlet Pressure: 0.6 to 0.8 MPa
Air Quality: Clean, dry compressed air (free from oil and moisture)
Connection Sizes: G1/2, G3/4, or G1 depending on model
If you already have an air compressor producing clean, dry air at the required pressure, it may be suitable for nitrogen generation. Compressor Systems can assess your existing compressed air system and recommend appropriate solutions.
Compact Footprint:
Standard Warranty: 2-year warranty covers the complete nitrogen generator (terms and conditions apply)
Compressor Systems supplies nitrogen generation solutions to various Australian industries:
Appearance: Nitrogen is a colorless and odorless gas
Atmospheric Presence: Constitutes about 78.08% of Earth’s atmosphere and is lighter than air
States of Matter:
Chemical Properties: Generally unreactive at room temperature, making it useful for preserving food, extending shelf life, and preventing spoilage
Reactivity: Under high temperatures and energy conditions, nitrogen can react with certain substances
The CNG Modular Nitrogen Generator Series produces nitrogen at adjustable purity levels from 95% to 99.999%.
The CNG series offers flow rates from 0.5 to 1000 Nm³/h. Standard models range from 5 Nm³/h (CNG-5N) to 120 Nm³/h (CNG-120). Multiple units can be combined for higher capacities.
Yes. The CNG nitrogen generator requires compressed air at 0.6-0.8 MPa. If you have an existing air compressor with adequate capacity, it may be suitable. Compressor Systems can evaluate your compressed air system.
The CNG series features:
Specific maintenance intervals depend on operating conditions and usage.
The CNG modular system allows you to start with the capacity you need and add modules later to increase production, without replacing existing equipment.
The CNG series achieves a 4.2:1 air-to-nitrogen ratio at 99.99% purity, compared to 5:1 for traditional generators. This results in up to 15% energy savings.
