Nitrogen Generators Australia | CNG Modular Series

Generate your own nitrogen on-site with the CNG Modular Nitrogen Generator Series. Compressor Systems supplies PSA nitrogen generators delivering 95% to 99.999% purity for Australian industrial applications.

What is a nitrogen generator?

nitrogen generator is a machine that produces high-purity nitrogen gas from the air around us. Instead of relying on heavy, expensive nitrogen cylinders, a generator makes nitrogen on-site, on demand.

CNG Modular Nitrogen Generator Series

The CNG Modular Nitrogen Generator Series uses Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology to produce nitrogen gas on-site from compressed air.

Main Specifications

Nitrogen flow: 0.5–1000 Nm³/h
Nitrogen purity: 95–99.999%
Nitrogen pressure: 0.1–0.8 MPa (Adjustable)
Atmospheric dew point: -40°C to -70°C

How PSA Nitrogen Generation Works

The CNG series uses Pressure Swing Adsorption technology to separate nitrogen from compressed air.

The Process

  • Carbon Molecular Sieve: Made from processed coal powder containing tiny pores that selectively adsorb gas molecules.
  • Separation Process: Compressed air flows through a two-bed system. Larger oxygen molecules are absorbed into the carbon molecular sieve, while smaller nitrogen molecules pass through and are collected.
  • Adsorption Phase: One tower produces nitrogen while oxygen is captured in the carbon molecular sieve.
  • Regeneration Phase: The second tower releases captured oxygen by reducing pressure, then switches to production mode.

The two towers alternate between these phases automatically, providing continuous nitrogen production.

Key Features

  • Fast Production: Quickly generates nitrogen with consistent purity
  • Energy Efficient: Operates at room temperature and standard pressure (0.8 MPa) without heating. Air-to-nitrogen ratio of 4.2:1 at 99.99% purity compared to 5:1 for traditional twin-tower generators, saving up to 15% on energy consumption.
  • User-Friendly: Simple operation with low maintenance needs
  • Automated Process: Fully automated for continuous nitrogen production
